1967 Pontiac Firebird 400

The Pontiac Firebird is an American automobile built by Pontiac from 1967 to the 2002

model years. Designed as a muscle car to compete with the Mercury Cougar and Dodge Challenger,

it was introduced February 23, 1967, the same model year as GM's Chevrolet division platform-sharing

Camaro. The first-generation Firebird had characteristic Coke bottle styling shared with its cousin, the

Chevrolet Camaro.

The Firebird bumpers were integrated into the design of the front end, giving it a more

streamlined look than the Camaro, the Firebird "slit" taillights were inspired by the 1966-1967 Pontiac

GTO. It was powered by a 400ci V8 featuring EFI fuel injection and sends the power to the rear wheels

through a 700R transmission. Included power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, coil over

lowering suspension, factory traction bars, and a BTM slap shifter, some 18-inch boss 338 wheels and

Flowmaster exhaust system to announce your arrival.
